Panasonic introduces the new LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm/F2.8 ASPH./POWER O.I.S. (model H-HS12035) digital interchangeable standard zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds system. The lens is the latest edition to the premium lens brand X. It features a zoom range of 12-35mm (35mm camera equivalent: 24-70mm) and a constant F.28 aperture. It includes POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) for shooting clear, blur-free photos even in low light environments.
The LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm/F2.8 is comprised of 14 lenses in nine groups, with UED (Ultra Extra-Low Dispersion) lens to minimize chromatic aberration and the UHR (Ultra High Refractive) lens to realize high descriptive performance from corner to corner. IUt also features the Nano Surface Coating technology which minimizes reflections at entire visual range (380nm-780nm).
Panasonic’s new lens complies with the Micro Four Thirds system and is compatible with its LUMIX G Series cameras. It is about 73.8mm in length and weighs 10.76oz. The lens will be released in August.
