Vivitek launches in Europe the Qumi Q5, the first HD pocket projector to come with web browser. Simply plug the optional WiFi dongle into the projector’s USB port, and you can connect it to the Internet for web browsing. Based on DLP technology, the projector is equipped with Single 0.45-inch DMD DLP display engine. It features 1280×800 native resolution, up to 500 Lumens brightness, 3500:1 contrast ratio, Vertical ±40° keystone correction and 1.55:1 throw ratio.
The Qumi Q5, in addition to web browser, comes with built-in file viewer and media player for showing content directly from USB flash drive or microSD without the need for a PC. It can read Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe PDF and text files; view JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF images, and play MP3, WAV, MPEG-4, H.264, Divx, WMV media files.The projector has HDMI 1.3, a 24-pin universal input, 3.5mm AV input, 3.5mm audio output, USB port and a microSD card slot. There is also built-in 2-watt speaker.
The Vivitek Qumi Q5 is available in red, yellow, dark blue, white and black. It comes with a remote control, a carry case and cables.
