Lenovo announced its line of ThinkStation E31 entry-level workstations for professional on tech budget. Ideal for small-to-medium businesses, the E31 is offered as a mini tower or small form factor (SFF). The E31 is powered by Intel’s Xeon E3-1200v2 or 3rd gen Ivy Bridge Core i7 processor, and up to 32GB of Error Correcting Code (ECC) memory. As for graphics, the workstation can be equipped with Intel HD Graphics P4000 or NVIDIA Quadro Graphic cards, with mid-tower get up to Q4000 and SFF up to Q600.
The mid-tower model of ThinkCenter E31 is big enough to have three hard drives, offering up to 9TB of storage while the more compact SFF model gets 6TB of space. There are also SSD options. The entry-level ThinkCenter offer four USB 3.0 ports for faster transfer rate and five USB 2.0 ports. Lenovo’s E31 are loaded with Windows 7 and are Windows 8-ready.
The ThinkStation E31 workstations will be released in June, starting at $629.
