Samsung expands its Series 7 notebook with the new 17-inch Series 7 CHRONOS (model NP700Z7CH) powered by Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge platform. Samsung’s new offering is a full-featured, powerful notebook, intended to deliver desktop-like experience, with a sleek, elegant design. It is powered by 3rd Intel Core i7-3615Q processor, up to 8GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GT650M graphics with 2GB video memory and Optimus technology.
The notebook comes with a 1TB hard drive, which works with the 8GB ExpressCache onboard flash memory to deliver enhanced overall performance. The 17-inch CHRONOS features a 17.3-inch 1920×1080 Full HD display with LED-backlit, and JBL 3 speakers with subwoofer, making it ideal for multimedia enjoyment. It also provides mini HDMI output that allows you to bring HD content on a big screen. The laptop also gets a slot-loading DVD SuperMulti DL burner and a 4-in-1 card reader.
Samsung’s NP700Z7CH supports WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, Gigabit Ethernet LAN and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It also includes support for WiDi (Wireless Display). It has two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports. The 17-inch Series 7 CHRONOS starts at $1499.99.
