OtterBox launches its new Defender Series iProtection case for the new iPad. Like the company’s other Defender cases, the new iPad case feature multi-layer design to provide solid protection. The new iProtection features a durable silicone outer layer to absorb bumps and shock, and two inner layer polycarbonate pieces that snap together for solid impact protection while the memory foam pads cradle the iPad inside the case provide additional shock absorption.
The new iPad Defender case also has built-in screen protector to keep the Retina Display free from scratches, smudges and fingerprints. It also comes with an integrated Shield Stand that fits on both front and back of the case. The stand supports portrait and landscape viewing and integrates two magnets to initiate device sleep mode when placed over the screen and awaken the device when removed, conserving battery power. The case provide full access to ports and camera and protects them from dust.
Not only compatible with the new iPad 3rd generation, the Defender Series iProtection case also works on iPad 2. It is priced at $89.95.
