Samsung brings a new affordable Galaxy smartphone, the Galaxy Pocket running Android 2.3 OS. The entry-level handset boasts a 823Mhz processor and comes with 3GB user memory. It features a 2.8-inch LCD 240×320 touchscreen, a 2 Megapixel fixed focus camera, A-GPS support, Bluetooth 3.0, FM radio and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity.
Like other Galaxy smartphones, the Pocket comes with TouchWiz and is pre-loaded with Samsung’s Social Hub, ChatOn messenger. It has a microSD card slot for expansion and is equipped with accelerometer and digital compass. The Galaxy Pocket measures just 11.988m thick and is super lightweight at just 97g.
Samsung will release the Galaxy Pocket in Italy in March, then in Europe, CIS, Latin America, Southeast and Southwest Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and China.
