Two years before, Samsung bought the first Galaxy Beam, which was the first Android projector phone at that time. This year, at the MWC 2012, Samsung announced its newest projector phone, the dual-core Galaxy Beam smartphone which is the world’s slimmest of its kind. This newly announced, refreshed, dual-core Gaalxy Beam has integrated projector with 15 lumens brightness to deliver HD images of up to 50-inch wide.
The new Galaxy Beam is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 768MB of RAM. It comes with a 4-inch 480×800 touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with flash and 720p HD video recording, a 1.3 Megapixel front camera. With built-in projector, users can share photos and videos easily and instantly with friends on a big screen. Business users can also use it for presentation, without the need for an additional projector. It has 8GB internal memory and a microSD/SDHC card slot.
The Samsung Galaxy Beam projector phone supports Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is pre-loaded with Samsung’s Game Hub virtual gaming store. The Galaxy projector phone supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and quad-band HSPA/WCDMA networks.
