In addition to WiMAX network, Sprint is also joining the party of LTE and the carrier is going to release the LG Viper 4G LTE smartphone. Powered a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, the phone runs Android 2.3. It features a 4-inch WVGA NOVA touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel main camera, and a  VGA front-facing camera. The Viper is a Sprint ID smartphone, allowing users to through the clutter of more than 400,000 apps in Android Market by selecting from a variety of mobile ID packs featuring apps, ringers, wallpapers, widgets and more.

The Viper 4G LTE works on Sprint’s LTE mobile network. It supports NFC and works with Google Wallet. The Viper also supports Bluetooth, GPS WiFi and DLNA connectivity. It has a microSD card slot for expansion. No words yet on availability and pricing.

Sprint is also launching the Galaxy Nexus for its LTE network.
