ViewSonic, other than tablets, is also launching Android-powered smartphone, the ViewPhone 3 (aka V350) that runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with a custom UI. What makes the phone stands out from the crowd of Android smartphone is its dual-SIM capability, allowing users to separate work and personal calls without owning two mobile phones. The phone is powered by an ARM 800MHz processor and 512MB of RAM.
The ViewPhone 3 comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA 320×480 touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel camera and WiFi 802.11b/g/b connectivity. The phone supports quad-band GSM and HSDPA 7.2Mbps mobile networks. It will be available for $279 without contract.
