Huawei announced at the CES 2012 the world’s slimmest smatphone, the Ascend P1 S that measures just 6.68mm thin. Powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 Cortex-A9 processor, the Ascend P1 S runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with 940×540 resolution and Gorilla Glass.
Also introduced is the Huawei Ascend P1 that boasts the same functionality but is a bit thick at 7.69mm. Both P1 and P1 S have a super-sleek and narrow 64.8mm body. They have a 8 Megapixel BSI main camera with dual LED flash, Full HD 1080p video recording, HDR effect optimization and a 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. As for connenctivity, you can expect Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and 3G support.
Huawei will release the Ascend P1 S and Ascend P1 ultra thin Android smartphone in Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, Australia, Middle East, and China from April 2012.
