Griffin Twenty Audio Amplifier Brings AirPlay to Any Speakers via Airport Express

Griffin introduces the Twenty audio amplifier, a device designed to turn existing non-powered speakers into AirPlay-enabled speaker, using an AirportExpress wireless base station. Simply plug the Airport Express into the Twenty, you can then stream music wirelessly from your iTunes music library or an AirPlay-enabled iPhone/iPod touch/iPad app. The Twenty Audio Amplifier uses your Airport Express to capture the AirPlay stream, decode it, then send the sound through your speakers.

The Twenty sports a TI PurePath Class D stereo amplifier to drive two 20Wx2 and subwoofer output. It has S/PDIF optical, TOSLINK input connectors and spring-loaded right/left channel and RCA subwoofer output connectors. No words yet on pricing and availability.
