Along with the new ThinkPad X1 Hybrid and T430u, Lenovo also expands the ThinkPad Edge line with the new Edge S430 premium notebook for professionals. The new S430 is the first Windows laptop to get Intel Thunderbolt technology, which allows users to “transfer a full-length HD movie in less than 30 seconds and backup a year of continuous MP3 playback in just over 10 minutes”.
The ThinkPad Edge S430 is powered by the latest Intel Core processor with choices of integrated HD graphics or dedicated NVIDIA Optimus graphics. It comes with a 14-inch 1600×900 display and packs also Dolby Home Theatre v4, DVD burner, up to 1TB of hard drive, and USB 3.0 ports. The stylish S430 features a metal accents, a soft-touch finish encased in an elegant thin and light design, and it measures less that 1-inch thick. The notebook is also loaded with Lenovo Solution Center powered by Intel Small Business Advantage, a set of productivity and security tools helping to enable overnight energy savings and automatic patch updates.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge S430 will be released in June starting at $749.
