AT&T launches its third 4G LTE smartphone, the LG Nitro HD which is the carrier’s first smartphone to have a true HD screen. The new Nitro HD comes with a 4.5-inch True HD AH-IPS (Advanced High-Performance In-Plane Switching) touchscreen with 1280×720 HD resolution (ie.329ppi) and 500 nit brightness. It supports AT&T’s LTE 4G high-speed data network.
The Nitro HD boasts a 1.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8060 dual-core processor and runs Android 2.3.5. It has a 8 Megapixel main camera, a 1.3 Megapixel front camera for video chat, Bluetooth, WiFi connenctivity with support for WiFi Direct, DLNA for wireless streaming to compatible devices. In addition to 4GB onboard storage, the phone comes with a 16GB microSD memory card.
The LG Nitro HD is available for $249.99 with a two-year contract.
