Powered by Intel’s Pentium G620 2.6GHz processor and 2GB of RAM, the N8900V is capable of multitasking smoothly, balancing activities such as data transfer, web serving, and RAID building without any delays or slowdowns in service.
Equipped with LSI 2008 HBA SATA/SAS controller, the Thecus N8900V has eight drive bays supporting up to 24TB capacity. It supports 6G SAS/SATA III and offers an eSATA and USB ports (six USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0) for external storage devices. The NAS supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and JBOD modes and hot-swap. It provides two spare PCI-e x8, one PCI-e x4 slots for expansion. There is three RJ-45 Ethernet LAN ports, thanks to Intel 82574L 10/100/1000 BASE-TX Auto MDI/MDI-X.
The Thecus N8900V comes with built-in FTP/SFTP server, printer server, Download Managet supporting BT/FTP/HTTP downloads, iTunes Server, uPnP media server, Piczza Web Server. It supports iSCSI connectivity for flexible thin-provisioned storage or simple virtualized environment integration as well. The 8-bay network storage server is VMware and Citrix ready.
