AOC announced the new e1649fwu, a 15.6-inch USB monitor driven by the DisplayLink DL-125 chip. The lightweight USB display features a 1366×768 resolution, 500:1 contrast ratio, 200cd/m2 brightness, and is able to display over 16 million colors.
Using USB connection instead of VGA or DVI, the e1649fwu lets users to add additional display easily, providing an ideal take-along monitor for business presentations. It gets power and video signal via a single USB 2.0 port. It has built-in stand that supports both horizontal and vertical positions.
The AOC e1649fwu works with Windows XP/Vista/7 as well as Mac OS X Tiger/Leopard/Lion and many of the standard distributions of Linux. It is available for $139.
