T-Mobile announced the LG DoublePlay, an Android smartphone with a special design featuring a split QWERTY keyboard and two capacitive touchscreens. The new phone comes with a 3.5-inch main display and a 2-inch seconday display that sits in between the QWERTY keyboard. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
The LG DoublePlay is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon processor. It features a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording capability. The phone comes pre-loaded with Swype for easy text input using touchscreen, as well Cloud Text and Group Text giving users the ability to send and receive texts from a PC or tablet or create group chats on-the-go for faster, more efficient content sharing.
The DoublePlay is now available for $99.99 with a 2-year contract.
