Samsung announced its new Galaxy Note, a 5.3-inch big screen Android device that sits between mobile phone and tablet. According to the Korean company, the “GALAXY Note is a new category of product that combines core on-the-go benefits of various mobile devices while maintaining smartphone portability, to create a whole new user experience.”
The new Galaxy Note is powered by a 1.4Ghz dual core processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with TouchWiz and L!ve Panel UX. The device comes with a 5.3-inch large HD Super AMOLED touchsceen with 1280×800 resolution and a 180 degree viewing angle and includes a digital S Pen stylus or accurate sketching and artwork, and instantly capturing ideas freely before they float away. It is pre-loaded with S Memo, S Planner, ChatOn and some other Samsung Apps.
The Note sports a 8 Megapixel main caemra with LED flash and Full HD 1080p video recording, a 2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi connectivity, and GPS/A-GPS capability. It has 16GB/32GB internal memory and supports microSD/SDHC up to 32GB.
Samsung Galaxy Note supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and quad-band HSPA+ networks. It packs accelerometer, light sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, barometer and comes with a Li-on 2,500 mAh battery.
