Samsung announced in Germany the new Galaxy XCover, a rugged Android smartphone. Like Motorola’s DEFY, the XCover has IP67 certification to protect it against dust and up to 1 meter depth of water for 30 minutes. The phone has a 3.6-inch touchscreen with scratch-resistant tempered glass, and a 3.2 Megapixel camera with LED flash.
The Galaxy XCover runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It supports 7.2Mbps HSDPA networks as well as Bluetooth and WiFi.
