LaCie brings a mini version of the Rugged, launching the Rugged Mini USB3.0 portable hard drive. Based on the Rugged and designed by Neil Poulton, the new Mini version is 40 percent smaller. It is shock-, drop-, and rain-resistant and can withstand one ton of pressure, sllowing users to easily transport the drive on the go while being confident their files are safe and secure.
The Rugged Mini also has a scratch-resistant aluminm casing and comes with the LaCie Private-Public software. The drive uses USB 3.0 interface and is backward compatible with USB 2.0. It is available in 500GB, 500GB (7200RPM) and 1TB capacities. The price starts at $95.
