G-Technology, part of Hitachi, introduces its new G-CONNECT, a hybrid device that combines wireless storage with wireless WiFi access point. The G-CONNECT is a 500GB storage device with WiFi connectivity allowing users to access and stream content to their smartphones and tablet devices, including iPhone and iPad. When connected via Ethernet LAN connection, the G-CONNECT will then become a WiFi access point for up to five WiFi-enabled devices.
The G-CONNECT offers flexible access via iPad/iPhone mobile apps, multiple browsers, PC, Mac, DLNA-certified connected TVs and Apple TV with AirPlay and provides password protection to keep users’ content safe. It can wirelessly stream up to five SD or three HD movies at the same time.
The G-Technology G-CONNECT 500GB wireless storage comes in a sleek white design and is priced at $199.99.
