USRobotics announced its new USR8710 uShare mini NAS adapter that turns your USB external hard drive into a network storage device on your local network. Simply connect an external USB hard drive or USB flash drive to the uShare, with a few clicks users can share files with anyone on the same local network, stream music or videos to Xbox 360/PS3, share a printer over the network, or set up a Bit Torrent
download session.
USRobotics’ uShare also allows users to access shared files remotely from anywhere with Internet connection. It supports hard drives and flash drives up to 2TB and the USB port allows users to swap or upgrade drives on the fly. The adapter provides built-in security with user level and folder settings and username/password for HTML configuration utility, and comes with SyncQuick Back-Up software for file backup and restoration and SyncQuick NAS Manager software.
The USRobotics USR8710 uShare supports Auto IP/Fixed IP and Ethernet connections at speeds of 10/100 Mbps and 1 Gigabit. It will be available for $69.99.
