Lite-On is launching a new internal 12x Blu-ray combo drive, the iHES212 designed especially for use on mini PCs or HTPCs. The new drive measures less than 17mm in length. It can read Blu-ray Disc at up to 12x and burn DVD discs at up to 16x.
The Lite-On iHES212 uses SATA interface and supports LightScribe for writing disc label. The drive writes DVD+/-R at up to 16x, DVD-RAM at 12x, DVD+RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x and CD-R/RW at up to 48x. The iHES212 costs GBP69.
