Samsung introduces the HMX-W200 Pocket Cam, a bar-type multi-proof pocket Full HD camcorder for capturing video in the tough conditions. The camcorder’s multi-proof includes waterproof up to 3 meters and shockproof to withstand 2 meter and dustproof. It has anti-water drop coating and anti-fog coating on its lens.
The Samsung W200 sports a 5 Megapixel backside-illuminated (BSI) CMOS image sensor, an auto focus lens with F2.2, and a 2.3-inch QVGA LCD display. W200 supports 1920×1080 Full HD video recording at 30fps and up to 5.5 Megapixel still images. It includes Digital Image Stabilization and offers HDMI output. The rugged Pocket Cam uses microSD/SDHC cards and has a built-in USB arm for easy PC connection.
Samsung will release the rugged W200 Pocket Cam in May for $159.
