Alltel Wireless adds four Android handsets to its smartphone lineup, including the LG Axis, Samsung Gem, HTC Merge, and Motorola Milestone X.
The LG Axis is basically Alltel’s version of the LG Ally. It is a QWERTY Android phone with a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi. It runs Android 2.1. The HTC Merge is an Android 2.2 with HTC Sense UI and QWERTY keyboard. The Samsung Gem is an entry-level Android smartphone with Android 2.1 and the TouchWiz UI. The Motorola Milestone X is basically the original Droid X with a new name.
