As “tablet” are becoming popular, it looks like “netbook” has come to the end of life. Hercules is trying to revitalize the netbook market by launching two slim eCAFE netbooks, the Slim HD and the EX HD. Both of them are powered by ARM Cortex A8 processor with 512 MB of memory.
The Slim HD measures just 0.8-inch thick and weighs 1.9lbs while the EX HD is at 1.1-inch and 2.5lbs. With support for 720p HD video playback, they have 10-inch display and offers HDMI output. These eCAFE netbooks are equipped with 8GB or 16GB storage and run Hercules’ custom version Linux.
