T-Mobile announced the LG G2x Android smartphone, which is known elsewhere in the world as the LG Optimus 2X. The G2x is boosted by the dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 1GHz processor and runs a stock version of Android 2.2 OS, meaning no LG custom UI is added.
The dual-core phone features a 4-inch 800×480 touchscreen, a 8 Megapixel main camera with LED flash and auto focus, a 1.3 Megapixel camera for video chat. The phone is capable of Full HD 1080 video recording in MPEG-4/H.264 format and offers HDMI output and DLNA support. The LG G2x comes with 8GB internal memory, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi connectivity, a microSD card slot for up to 32GB card, as well as the DTS Ultra Mobile that includes DTS Envelo and DTS Boost surround sound audio technologies.
The LG G2x supports T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network. It will be released later this spring. Need for Speed SHIFT HD racing game and a demo of Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance – N.O.V.A. are pre-loaded for you to experience the power of dual-core.
