Sprint is launching the new OverDrive Pro 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Sierra Wireless. While the old OverDrive 3G/4G can share 3G/4G connection to five WiFi-enabled devices, the new Pro version connects to eight simultaneously.
The OverDrive Pro 3G/4G supports Sprint’s 3G CDMA EVDO and 4G WiMax networks and WiFi 802.11n standard for wider compatibility with new Wi-Fi devices. The mobile hotspot offers up to 150 foot range for Wi-Fi connection and includes GPS support and location-based services. It has an integrated LCD display to provide information users need to connect and monitor connection, and a microSD card slot.
Sprint will release the OverDrive Pro 3G/4G mobile hotspoty on 20 March for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a two-year service agreement.
