Panasonic announced in the UK the new HX-WA10 waterproof full HD digital camcorder. Optimized for shooting outdoors and in rainy weather, the WA10 is waterproof to a depth of 3 meters underwater for up to 60 minutes4/5 complying with IPX8 standards. The camcorder sports BSI (Backside Illumination) sensor for Full HD video recording and 16 Megapixel still capturing, and a 2.7-inch LCD display.
The Panasonic HX-WA10 features a 5x optical zoom lens and offers 12x Advanced Zoom for moview recording. It includes E.I.S (Electrical Image Stabilizer) for blur-free shooting, Face Detection, and iA (Intelligent Auto) mode for automatic optimal settings. By pressing the still image button, even while shooting a movie will produce a photo with resolution of up to 2 Megapixels. The camcorder records in MPEG-4 AVC file format (MP4).
