Along with the Xperia neo, Sony introduces the Xperia pro business-oriented Android smartphone with an optimized, ergonomically crafted slide-out keyboard for a fast messaging experience. It includes the subtle but fast Type & Send functionality eliminating the need to open a dedicated app for each type of message, and Smart Keyboard that triggers predictive messaging actions automatically when the user slides out the keyboard. There is also pre-loaded Office Suite Pro that lets consumers view and edit office documents directly on the phone.
You can consider the Xperia pro as the QWERTY version of the neo. It is powered by the same 1GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon MSM8255 processor. Other common features include 3.7-inch 854×480 Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 8 Megapixel camera with LED flash, 2 Megapixel front camera, aGPS/GPS support, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. You can also expect HDMI output.
The Xperia pro runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and 3G/3.5G HSPA networks and comes in black, silver and red.
