LG introduced it new Optimus Black P970 Android smartphone at the CES 2011, which is the world’s slimmest mobile device measuring just 9.2mm thick. The phone gets a 4-inch LG NOVA LCD display that, according to LG, consumes 50% less power than conventional LCD during indoor use and than AMOLED to display full white screen. The screen offers 700 nits of brightness.
The LG Optimus Black, other than the rear camera, has a 2 Megapixel front camera for video chat. It also supports WiFi Direct for quick and high-quality data transfer between mobile device. The phone runs Android 2.2 Froyo and includes the Optimus UI 2.0.
LG is going to release the Optimus Black in first half of 2011.
