Panasonic introduces two new LUMIX S-series compact digital cameras, the 14.1 Megapixel DMC-S3 and the 12.1 Megapixel DMC-S1. They have a new rounded shaped that fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. The S3 and S1 both have a 28mm wide angle 4x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch LCD display.
The LUMIX DMC-S3 and LUMIX DMC-S1 are powered by Venus Engine VI image processor, which accounts for their fast response times and image quality. They feature Intelligent Auto (iA) technologies, such as MEGA OIS optical image stabilization, Intelligent ISO control, Face Detection and Intelligent Scene Selector. Both cameras can capture 1280x720p HD videos at 30fps.
