Sony Ericsson announced at the CES 2011 its new Xperia arc, a new ultra slim smartphone running Android 2.3. The slim, sleek, lightweight phone has an ergonomic design and an arc body. It measures just 8.7mm at its thinnest part. This latest Xperia phone runs Android 2.3 OS and includes Google Mobile Services and apps.
The Xperia arc features a large 4.2-inch 854×450 capacitive multitouch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine to deliver ultimate multimedia and viewing experiences, a 8.1 Megapixel camera with Exmor R for mobile back-illuminated CMOS sensor for low-light photography and video capture. The camera offers auto focus, geotagging, image stabilizer, 720p HD video recording, face detection, smile detection and LED flash. The arc includes also aGPS/GPS support, Bluetooth, WiFi connectivity, DLNA support and HDMI output.
Sony Ericsson Xperia arc is powered by 1Ghz Qualcomm SnapDragon processor with 512MB of RAM. It supports microSD/SDHC up to 32GB and comes with a 8GB card. The phone supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and quad-band or dual-band (depends on markets) WCDMA HSPA networks. Coming in Q1, the phone will be available in Midnight blue and Misty silver.
