Synology launches the new DiskStation DS211+ full-featured 2-bay all-in-one NAS server for small and medium-sized businesses or enthusiast users to share files, centralize backup, and protect data. The DS211+ has two hot-swappable SATA drive bays for 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch hard drives offering a total of 6TB capacity. It also has three USB 2.0 ports one eSATA port and a SD card slot for easy transfer between external storage and the NAS.
The DiskStation DS211+ is powered by a 1.6GHz processor and 512MB RAM. It features a Gigabit LAN Ethernet LAN port. The system offers an average 108MB/sec reading and 55MB/sec writing speeds under RAID 1 configuration in a Windows environment. It includes 256-bit AES Hardware Encryption Engine for data protection as well.
