A company called Looxcie launches an iPhone-compatible wearable camcorder with the same name. The small, lightweight and easy-to-wear camcorder is designed to be a headset that fits comfortably on the ear and points where the user looks. It uses Bluetooth to connect with an iPhone or Android smartphone for video recording. The Looxie also serves as a Bluetooth headset for phone calls and is DSP optimized for clear, crisp audio.
When paired with an iPhone, the phone becomes both a view-finder and an accessory that lets users share video clips by email, post to Facebook or upload to YouTube in real-time. The Looxcie for iPhone works wih iPhone running i-OS 4.2. It features a 15 FPS, HVGA resolution camera, built-in 480mAh Li Po battery that is enough for up to 4 hours of continuous video use. The on-board storage is enough for recording up to 4 hours of MP4 video.
Looxcie comes with three sizes of hypoallergenic earbuds that are optimized for comfort and stability and bendable earloop and allows easy roll adjustment to keep the landscape level as you video. The wearable camcorder is available for $199.00.
