Nokia has just introduced a new QWERTY phone, the X2-01 that aims to offer maximum functionality for the lowest price possible. This new Xseries device runs S40 OS and has a bar-type form factor with full QWERTY keyboard. The phone is designed for social networking and fast communications and the QWERTY keyboard is ideal for text messaging and status update.

The Nokia X2-01 has a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, a VGA camera, FM radio, built-in media player and microSD card reader. It include Ovi Store and Ovi Life Tools. As a budget-priced phone, the X2-01 supports only quad-band GPRS/EDGE data; there is no 3G and WiFi.

Nokia will release the handset in Q4 for about Euro 80. It comes in black/red, black/blue, black and white. The X2-01 is the second X2 from Nokia, the first one is X2-00, which is a music candybar phone.
