Netgear has just added several new models to its ReadyNAS Ultra family of home media servers. Both the new Ultra 2 Plus and Ultra 2 network attached storage servers are compatible with TiVo for expanding DVR capacity; Orb mobile streaming and Skifta Remote DLNA Streaming. Both of them support X-RAID2 Automatic volume expansion.
The ReadyNAS Ultra Plus and the 2-bay ReadyNAS Ultra 2 are powered by 1.8GHz Intel Atom dual core processor with 1GB of memory. The Ultra Plus offers 30% more performance over the ReadyNAS Ultra 2, according to Netgear.
