NextComputing announced the new Vigor Evo Plus rugged mobile computer designed to support high-end software applications in deployed environments. Created for military and homeland security operation, the Vigor Evo Plus has rugged mil-anodized external chassis and shock-mounted internal chassis.

The Vigor Evo Plus is boosted by one or two server-class Intel Xeon processors, up to 16GB ECC RAM and 11TB internal storage capacity. It has integrated 17-inch HD display and can be equipped with optional 2nd and 3rd “swing-out” displays for panoramic viewing. The mobile computer has six full-length, full-height PCI Express and PCI-X slots.

The NextComputing Vigor Evo Plus weighs 35lbs. NextComputing also offers screen-less version, ideal for embedded applications such as vehicle mounted servers.
