Samsung announced that U.S. Cellular is getting the Samsung Mesmerize and Cellular South is getting the Samsung Showcase Galaxy S smartphones. Basically, the Mesmerize and the Showcase are the same device with different names, and look identical to Verizon’s offering, the Samsung Fascinate. Both of the mare part of Samsung’s Galaxy S line and support CDMA EVDO network.
The Mesmerize and Showcase, as a Galaxy S phone, features a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus and 720p HD vide recording, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and DLNA support. They are powered by Samsung’s Hummingbird 1GHz processor and runs Android 2.1.
