Verizon Wireless officially announced the new Fivespot Global Ready 3G mobile hotspot, which is made by ZTE USA. The Fivespot supports CDMA 1xEV-DO Rev. A/Rev. 0 800/1900 MHz, WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA 850/1900/2100 MHz as well as GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, making it truly ready for global roaming.
Verizon’s Fivespot allows users to share 3G connection with up to five WiFi-enabled devieces. It includes VPN support. The stylish, small device measures 3.92 x 2.11 x 0.55 inches. It comes with a pre-installed SIM card.
Verizon will sell the Fivespot for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
