Samsung officially announced its Galaxy Tab (GT-P1000) tablet device that is the world’s first DivX certified tablet. The Galaxy Tab features a 7-inch 1024×600 TFT touchscreen display, 16GB or 32GB internal storage, GPS support, 5GHz dual-band 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a 3 Megapixel rear camera with flash and a 1.3 Megapixel front camera.
The Galaxy Tab is powered by Cortex A8 1GHZ processor with 512MB of RAM and runs Android 2.2 OS with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, Flash player, Swype keyboard. The tablet packs gyroscope sensor, geo-magnetic sensor, acceleometer. There is also a microSD card slot and 30pin connector. The Galaxy tablet supports tri-band 3G HSPA and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks and also acts as a mobile phone (via speakerphone and headset).
Samsung Galaxy Tab will hit Europe and Asia markets soon.
