Garmin announced a new portable navigation device (PND), the nuLink 1695 with a 5-inch touchscreen. The device connects drivers with relevant, online information from Garmin’s nüLink! service, including links to online information like Google Local Search, traffic, weather, fuel prices, flight status, and other real-time, location-relevant content.
The nuLink 1695 offers the nüLink! traffic providing the “best-in-class” information from NAVTEQ. The PND also features nüRoute technology with trafficTrends, which recommends routes using historical data, and myTrends that remembers your frequent favorite destinations and predict your destination without you needing to activate a route, making your daily commute easier than ever.
Garmin’s nuLink 1695 also comes standard with ecoRoute and Bluetooth wireless connecitivity. The US version of the device has pre-loaded maps of North America and comes with one year of free Garmin nüLink! services out-of-the-box. It will be released in September for $449.99.
