Iomega announced all its eGo portable hard drives are moving to USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface. In October, Iomega will release USB 3.0 eGo hard drives with 500GB and 1TB capacities and Drop Guard Xtreme technology that protects the drive from 7-foot drop. In Q1 2011, Iomega will add USB 3.0 to Prestige portable hard drives.
These USB 3.0 eGo drives will feaeture AES 256 hardware encryption. They are also bundled with QuikProtect, v.Clone and Trend Micro’s Internet Security Protection Suite software.
