While Verizon Wireless is getting its new DROID 2, Cellular South announced the arrival of the Motorola Milestone, basically a re-badged Motorola DROID. Unlike the international version Milestone, this version supports Celluar South’s CDMA network. Powered by Cortex-A8 550MHz processor, the Milestone runs Android 2.1 with Live Wallpapers and full suite of Google applications such as Google Maps, Google Talk and Google Maps Navigation Beta.

The phone features 3.7-inch 854×480 capacitive touchscreen, CrystalTalk Plus that filters out background noise and enhances voice quality, a 5 Megapixel camera with dual LED flash, Bluetooth, WiFi and microSD card slot. It comes with a 8GB memory card.

The Motorola Milestone is available at Cellular South for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in reward card and with a two-year service agreement.
