Samsung announced its new EcoGreen F4EG hard drive with up to 2TB capacity. The 3.5-inch internal EcoGreen hard drive comes with three 667GB platters offering 2TB capacity. It uses SATA 3Gbps interface and comes with 32MB buffer memory.
Like other Samsung hard drives, the EcoGreen F4EG includes SilentSeek and NoiseGuard low-noise operation technologies. It consumes 23 percent less power in standby mode than the previous four-disk model, the F3EG.
Coming in early September, the EcoGreen F4EG is available in 1.5TB and 2TB with a starting price of $119.99.
