Runco, a brand in luxury video solutions for the home, announced its new Signature Cinema SC-50d and SC-60d projectors for the high-end luxury home theater market. Both projectors are 3D-ready and support support multiple formats including Active3D using active shutter glasses or passive-glassed-based solutions.
Runco’s SC-50d and SC-60d features a 3-chip DLP SuperOnyx DMD system for 1080p Full HD native resolution, Smart Lens system with controllable motorized lens, and a highly-efficient illumination system consisting of two UHP lamps. They both ship with Runco’s Digital High-Definition (DHD) external video processor controller. Also, for unparalleled reproduction of Hollywood’s 2.35:1 CinemaScope standard, the SC-50d and SC-60d are available with Runco’ legendary CineWide with AutoScope technology.
Main difference between the two projectors are their typical lamp lifes, the 50d has 1300 hours while the 60d offers 2000 hours. The Signature Cinema SC-50d and SC-60d are priced at $88,995 and $98,995, respectively, and will be released in Fall 2010.
