Active Media Products announced the new line of IDE / PATA Flash DOM (Disk on Module) compact solid state storage drives for embedded applications and servers. Based on MLC flash, these Flash DOM module (FDM) uses PATA/IDE interface and comes in two types, the Type-1 with 40-pin female IDE connector and the Type-2 that uses 44-pin connector.
Both Types are available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities and offer up to 80MB/s read speed and 38MB/s write speeds. The prices are $63 fr 8GB, $85 for 16GB and $159 for 32GB.
