Marantz is going to release the UD7005 and UD5005 Universal Media Players. Both models supports Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, standard and recordable CDs, DVD-Audio, SACD, as well as DivX files in addition to AVCHD (high definition video format for camcorder) contained on discs or solid-state memory devices, and WMA, MP3, and JPEG files from either discs or SD cards. They are also Blu-ray 3D ready and includes support for DLNA 1.5.
The UD7005 and UD5005 has an Ethernet port for internet connectivity allowing users to enjoy online video streaming via Netflix and YouTube. They support HDMI 1.4 output and RS232. The UD7005 features 32-bit Audio DAC with analog multichannel audio output, with 7.1-channel capability.
Marantz UD7005 will be released in September for $899 while the UD5005 comes in August for $499.
