Japanese company Brother presents at Brother World JAPAN 2010 its AiRScouter, a head-mounted display that uses retinal scanning display technology. Basically, the AiRScouter projects a virtual image directly onto the retina, instead of showing image on glasses or screen.
The AiRScouter is still in prototype stage.
