Finally, Panasonic makes its long-awaited and long rumored Lumix DMC-LX5 digital camera official……. at its support page. We are not seeing really big changes though the new LX5 does has a longer zoom range of 3.8x with F2.0 aperture and ISO 80-12800, compare to its predecessor Lumix LX3‘s 2.5x and ISO 80-3200. It also has a similar design as  the LX3.

Panasonic’s LX5 is equipped with a 10.1 Megapixel CCD with evolved sensor technology, a F2.0 Leica DC VARIO-SUMMICRON lens with 3.8x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom and a 3-inch LCD display with AR coating. The new camera includes Power O.I.S image stabilizer, Face Detection, Intelligent Exposure, Intelligent ISO Control, Face Recognition and the Intelligent AUTO mode. It record 1280×720 HD video in AVCHD Lite format and offers mini HDMI output.

Panasonic Lumix LX5 accpets SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards and supports VIERA Link. Pricing and availability have not been announced. It comes in silver and black.
