Sagem and Puma release the PUMA Phone in eleven European countries. Announced at the MWC 2010, the PUMA Phone combines on-board sportslifestyle features and technology with a unique UI. As reported, it is a solar-powered phone with integrated solar cell, with charge indicator (one hour of sunshine provides power for one hour and 30 minutes of MP3 play or enough energy to send about 30 text messages).
The PUMA Phone features a 2.8-inch 240×320 touchscreen, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth, GPS with geotagging support, and a microSD card slot. As a sports phone, it includes pedometer, GPS tracker and stopwatch. The phone supports GSM/EDGE and WCDMA/HSPA networks. It will be first released in Germany, UK, Italy, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Romania, Macedonia and Slovenia with a SIM-free price of Euro 399.
